Marketing Swap
2026 Marketing Swaps
Thank you to our marketing swaps for supporting Tora-Con 2026
Hello, fellow event runners! Now is your chance to showcase your own event at Tora-Con!
Please read below for more information and let us know if you have any questions.
Why do a marketing swap with Tora-Con?
Tora-Con is a medium-sized anime convention based in the Rochester area on the RIT campus. Our largest demographic is made up of anime fans in the college age range, however, we see people of all ages attend. In 2025, we had about 3,000 regular attendees with an additional 500-750 other attendees (volunteers, artists, club panelists, etc). Many of our attendees are from the Rochester area, but there are those who travel from out of state every year. A marketing swap at Tora-Con is a great opportunity for most events that target similar demographics, focus on similar interests, and are in a 7-hour drive-time range from Rochester. If you’re curious about whether or not your event would be a good fit for a marketing swap at Tora-Con, don’t hesitate to message us using the email below!
Table Swaps
A tabeling swap with Tora-Con would involve you coming to Tora-Con and showcasing your event at your own table in our Dealer’s Hall. In exchange, Tora-Con asks that you allow us to shill what we have to offer by either providing us with a table at your event or creating social media posts for us (dependent on the terms agreed upon between your event and Tora-Con). Below are some rules that we expect Table Swap Events to follow:
Table Swap recipients must adhere to the Tora-Con convention rules at all times
Table Swap recipients are expected to have at least one representative at their table during Vendors & Artists Alley open hours
Table Swap recipients must keep all displays within their allotted space
This is a free space. Power will not be supplied
Events accepted for table swaps will receive two complimentary badges (up to two additional may be requested if necessary), one table, and two chairs
You will be expected to offer similar accommodations (one table and two chairs OR social media posts) for Tora-Con at your upcoming event
We may ask to view your flyers and other handouts in the weeks prior to our event so they may be approved by RIT
Other Marketing Swaps
Sometimes, a tabeling swap isn’t the right option for your event. Other marketing swap examples that have happened in the past include your event and Tora-Con creating and sharing social media posts of each other’s events as well as handout swaps where your event and Tora-Con sends each other flyers (or other handouts) for distribution during the events. Below are some rules that we expect Other Marketing Swap Events to follow:
Marketing Swap recipients must adhere to the Tora-Con convention rules at all times
Marketing Swap recipients must follow-through on all swap terms that have been agreed upon
All swap terms are to be agreed upon and finalized before the swap takes place
We may ask to view your flyers, handouts, and/or social media posts prior to distribution so that they may be approved by RIT
